The Talis vineyards are nestled amidst a luscious landscape cradled by the sea and sheltered by the Julian Alps, a terrain of lush and verdant hills that descend gently towards the sunny plains; this land, bordered by Austria and Slovenia, is called Friuli. A fusion of six independent producers, Talis is inspired by the dream of continuing the time -honoured wisdom of generations of Friulian winemakers. >

Here, a love of the land and homage to the ancient traditions of Friulian viticulture merge to produce white and red wines that capture and embody the smells, spirit, and essential character of this very special land. Talis takes its name from the Friulian word for Taraxacum officinale (dandelion), which spreads its bright green, yellow and white carpet between the rows of vines the cling to the hillsides, one of the most characteristic features of this green and pleasant land. ×

No fewer than four rivers flow through the Talis landscape: the Judrio, whose waters once defined the boundary line between the Austro-Hungarian empire and the Kingdom of Italy; the Torre, which tumbles noisily over the pebbled riverbed as it wends its way in and out of the countryside; the Natisone, the cradle of ancient Lombard civilization; and finally the Corno, which meanders slowly through the ancient lands of Abbazia di Rosazzo. >
