Masterclass at Wine South America: Talis’s Friulano 2024 Wins Over Bento Gonçalves

Talis Wine was selected to present its Friulano 2024 at Wine South America for a masterclass dedicated to white wines from Friuli.

Friuli-Venezia Giulia has always been one of Italy’s most interesting wine-producing regions, and Friulano is one of its iconic grape varieties: locally grown, elegant, and with unique characteristics. It is with this wine that Talis Wine chose to introduce itself to the audience at Wine South America, one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing trade shows in the Southern Hemisphere.

During the event, Mauro Cencig, President and partner of Talis, led the masterclass alongside Júlio César Kunz, Director of Wines at ABS-RS and Via Italian Wine Ambassador, guiding participants through the characteristics of Friulano and its deep connection to the hills of eastern Friuli.

Friulano is a wine that needs no translation,” Mauro stated. “It speaks for itself, because it carries something that cannot be replicated: the character of a specific land.

The masterclass generated significant interest among the industry professionals in attendance, confirming that Friulian white wines are gaining ground even in South American markets, which are increasingly focused on quality, sustainability, and territorial identity.
